Multiplication of Consecutive Even/Odd Numbers with gap of 2 or 4 or 6










Here are some new tricks on Multiplication of two consecutive even or odd numbers where the difference in between theme is 2 or 4 or 6 etc.


Let’s take a look:

   Multiplication with gap of 2: 

12 * 14                29 * 31
             (13)2-1                (30)2-1
           
            =169-1                =900-1
            =168                   =899

   Multiplication with gap of 4:      

        12 * 16                     36 * 40
         (14)2-(14-12)2         (38)2-(38-36)2
        
         =196-4                     =1444-4
         =192                        =1440

    Multiplication with gap of 6: 

         12 * 18                     32 * 38
          (15)2-(15-12)2         (35)2-(35-32)2
          
          =225-9                     =1225-9
          =216                        =1216



For quick multiplication remember squares up to 50.
